October and November 2004

So motivation take a real nose dive here.  We are exhausted after the mad dash kitchen up-date.  We go into old house hibernation mode.  Tim is helping his family in the field and I've been put on third shift.  Life just doesn't seem to be cooperating with us.

December 2004

Tim is finally getting some free time from his various commitments.  So he's trying to tackle an odd job here and there.

One of those jobs was this little light.  It is the only fixture original to the house.  I'm sure it isn't original-original, but it was here when we bought the place.  In fact it was in this very location.

Tim had to sand blast the fixture since there seemed to be the same number of coats of paint on it as there is on the woodwork.  The glass was in great shape with just a few blobs of paint that I chipped off with a razor.  We took out the pull chain and now it's run by the light switch you see in the picture.

Notice I also got the counter tops oiled so they look much better than they had in previous pictures.
