Arthur W. Troge [Parents] was born on 12 Apr 1900 in Floyd County, Iowa. He died on 27 Apr 2000 in Faith Lutheran Home, Osage, Iowa. He married Lynda Louise Bahnsen on 6 May 1926.

Lynda Louise Bahnsen [Parents] was born on 24 Aug 1906 in Rock Grove Township Floyd County Iowa. She was christened on 4 Nov 1906. She died on 10 Nov 2000 in Rudd Iowa. She was buried on 17 Nov 2000 in Osage Iowa. She married Arthur W. Troge on 6 May 1926.

OSAGE - Lynda Troge, 94, formerly of Osage, died Friday (Nov. 10, 2000) at her daughter's home in Rudd of congestive heart failure.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at St. John's Lutheran Church, south of Osage, with the Rev. Christian F. Gugel officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Osage.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home, Osage, and will resume one hour prior to service time at the church Friday.

Lynda Louise (Bahnsen) Troge was born Aug. 24, 1906, in Rock Grove Township in Floyd County, one of 10 children of Christian and Margaretha (Wohlert) Bahnsen. She was baptized Nov. 4, 1906, by Pastor Peschel and confirmed Aug. 20, 1922, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nora Springs by Pastor H. Freytag.

She was united in marriage to Aurthur Troge on May 6, 1926, at St. John's parsonage by Pastor Theo Frese. They farmed south of Osage. In 1996 Art and Lynda moved off the farm to Evergreen Apartments in Osage and on May 3, 2000, she moved to her daughter's home.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Eugene Troge of Osage; a daughter, Audrey Benson and her husband, Wayne, of Rudd; a grandson, Ashley Benson and his wife, Lynda, of Dallas, Texas; a granddaughter, Janeen Benson of Denver, Colo.; two great-grandchildren, Misty Benson and Joey Benson of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Hans Bahnsen of Boyceville, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Art, on April 27, 2000; three sisters; and five brothers.

LyndaLouise (Bahnsen) Troge. was born August 24, 1906, in
Rock Grove Township, one of the ten children of Christian &Margaretha
(Wohlert) Bahnsen. She was born again by water and
the Word through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on November 4,
1906 by Pastor Peschel. She confirmed her baptismal faith at
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nora Springs, Iowa, in front of Pastor
H.Freytag, on August 20, ]922.
Miss Bahnsen was married to Arthur Troge on May 6, 1926, at
St. John's parsonage, Cedar Township, by Pastor Thea Frese. This
marriage was blessed with two children, Eugene &Audrey.
In 1996 Art & Lynda moved off of the family farm to the Evergreen
Apartments in Osage. After her husband's death, Lynda
moved into her daughter's home.
Lynda Troge was called home by her Lord on November 10,
2000, at her daughter's home in Rudd, Iowa, at the age of 94. In
death she joins those who preceded her to their eternal home including:
her parents; her husband, Art, on April 27,2000; three
sisters and five brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are: her son, Eugene Troge, of
Osage, dautghter, Audrey Benson and her husband.
Wayne, of Colorado; a grandson, Ashley Benson, and his wife,
Lynda, of Dallas. Texas; a granddaughter, Janeen Benson, of
Denver, Colorado; two great-grandchildren, Mistyand Joey Benson,
of Dallas, Texas; brother Hans Bahnsen, of Boycevllle.WI.

Aaron Charles Elsbury [Parents] "Andy" was born on 27 Jan 1910. He died on 16 May 1997. He married Addie Mitchell.

Addie Mitchell was born on 26 Feb 1910 in Iowa City, Iowa. She died on 8 Dec 2007 in Mason City, Iowa. She was buried on 11 Dec 2007 in Rock Falls Cemetery. She married Aaron Charles Elsbury.

ROCK FALLS - Addie (Bahnsen) M. Elsbury, 97, of Rock Falls, passed away peacefully Saturday (Dec. 8, 2007) surrounded by her family at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the Old Stone United Methodist Church in Rock Falls, with Pastor Jim Turner and Rev. Wendy Johannsen officiating. Interment will be in the Rock Falls Cemetery.

A visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. today at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Memorials may be directed to the Addie (Bahnsen) M. Elsbury Memorial Fund.

Addie Marie (Bahnsen) Elsbury was born on Feb. 26, 1910, in Iowa City. She was baptized at the orphanage and at ten days of age she was brought by train to the Plymouth Junction and became the adopted daughter of Robert and Emma (Daligh) Mitchell. She grew up northeast of Plymouth. She received her eighth grade diploma at Northwood, Iowa, on May 10, 1924.

Addie cared for her mother at age 17 until her death in 1930. She married Carsten J. Bahnsen on March 20, 1932, in Albert Lea, Minn. They had her father, Robert Mitchell, live with them and they cared for him until his death in 1935.

Carsten and Addie raised their children Dola and Westly "Bud" on the Schneider farm northeast of Rock Falls. They bought the Charles "Burt" Olden place in Rock Falls in June of 1955 and retired from farming to that acreage in 1957. Together they had a large garden with strawberries and sweet corn to sell and give away to family and friends. Addie lovingly took care of the Rock Falls Cemetery for 25 years. She dressed thousands of chickens for area farmers. Carsten and Addie belonged to the Garden Club and Birthday Card Club. Carsten died on Dec. 13, 1973.

On April 23, 1983 Addie married Aaron "Andy" Elsbury. While with Andy, she belonged to the North Iowa Vintage Auto Club. They wintered in Apache Junction, Ariz., until Andy's death on May 16, 1997.

Addie was a member of the Old Stone United Methodist Church. She loved to work. She was happiest when the lawn needed mowed and was able to do this to the age of 93. She liked to keep her hands busy and crocheted afghans and doilies large and small.

Addie is survived by her daughter, Dola (Jack) Shannon of Mason City, and son, Westly R. "Bud" Pauline Bahnsen of Mason City; grandchildren, Debbie (George) Perry of Plymouth, Kristie Infante, John Infante, and Joy Campbell all of Mason City, Lindee (Steve) Civorellie of Albert Lea, Minn., Chris (Linh) Bahnsen of Lake Wales, Fla., Paula (Ross) Anderson of Dumont, Carrie (Ron) Waldbillig of West Des Moines; thirteen great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; Andy's children, Thelma, Coral, Clair and their families; special friends, Jerry and Judi Ulin and her friends and neighbors at Rock Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and son-in-law, Jack Shannon.

The family would like to thank everyone at Willow Point Assisted Living and Hospice of North Iowa for all their wonderful care and compassion.
